What is Happening?

It seems everywhere I look, people are telling me how bad things are. I hear folks talking about, “We are all going to hell in a hand-basket.” I’m not entirely sure what a hand-basket is, and doubt I could even fit in one.

I want to hear what God is doing! I want to hear what is happening in your life that is positive. How has God blessed you? How has He kept His hand on you? What is He currently doing?

I just got a picture of my dad who was able to to walk up and down the hall of his house with just a cane, when a cpl months ago, he couldn’t even stand without major assistance. Then a couple, who are complete strangers hear me telling of what God is doing in his life, and hand me a $100 to “bless your dad and, also let him know we are praying for him.”

My son and daughter were rough housing in their bedroom. Isaiah kicks Kylie off the bed and she lands on a plastic drawer that breaks and jabs a huge chunk out of her thigh, almost to the femur, literally. She had to have at least 15 stitches, the doctor lost count. Today, she is able to walk with minimal assistance, where yesterday I was having to carry her wherever she needed to go.

That’s what God is doing! He is still healing people, changing lives.Last Sunday, a man who has been coming to our church for quite a while decides to be baptized and iwas trembling under the power of the Holy Ghost. People asking for more understanding of Jesus, how to show Him to others using only the Old Testament.

Jesus is not slack, or slow, concerning His promises.

I think, sometimes we focus so much on the sentimental rear view mirror, and how much things have changed, that we aren’t seeing what God is doing.

There are people right now that Jesus is turning their hearts toward Him, high profile people.People who have millions of followers, they are influencing people to follow Jesus, to pray, to know Jesus.

“There are good men everywhere, I only wish they had louder voices.” Louis L’Amour

It is past time to make our voices heard. It’s is time to stand up and declare the goodness of God, Not how bad the world is, but how good God is.

There is a saying, “preach the Gospel, use words if you have to.” I don’t like or agree with that saying.we have been quietly living our lives and the only BIBLICAL way for the Gospel to be preached it to absolutely use Words. Yes, you should be living a holy life, but we should also be opening our mouth every chance we get to tell people how good Jesus is. “Use words if you have to?” You have to.

God is good right now, right now God is good. Circumstances do not determine God’s goodness, because circumstances are only present tense, and Jesus is playing the long game.
