Cohesive Workplaces

There is nothing worse than being miserable at work, like hating where you work, disliking your coworkers, feeling unappreciated, or like your giftings are being overlooked. Most managers/supervisor/employers feel like it’s too difficult and costly to really work on turning the culture around. But, the truth is, it is costing WAY more to have a dysfunctional workplace. People spend way too much time on social media, YouTube, TickTock, and others wasting their companies time, because who cares, “they don’t pay me enough anyway.”

They procrastinate and do halfhearted work feeling like they’re getting theirs. It costs companies way more to ignore their culture problems than to fix them.

I sold a security camera system to a company, that suspected their employees of not working, and defrauding the company on the amount of equipment sold. Within a month, I had saved that company thousands of dollars. They found out their men were clocking in and then sitting around for over an hour before getting to work. They found that shipments were being fraudulently recorded. But what if they just decided to be involved with their employees. What if they had decided to bring in someone to help them change the culture from, “let’s rip off our employer” to one of collaboration, and cooperation. What if those guys were encourages and empowered to take ownership and step up and lead each in production and integrity. Not only would they have saved the cost of the camera system, wages, and product, but they would’ve increased production, earning, and their bottom line.

It is easy to be comfortable and pretend like it’s too much work to change things, but really, you are only hurting yourself by ignoring the real changes that need to be made.

I pray grace, mercy, and peace be unto you from God our Father, the Lord Jesus Christ.
