I love food. I love to eat. I make no qualms about that. I don’t hide it or pretend like I don’t. I love to enjoy new and fun and different kinds of food, and I will try just about anything. I love to try other cultures offerings and experince the wonder of the world. I don’t get to travel that much at this stage in my life, but with food, I can be adventurous and experience new things.
As much as I love food, I like to feel good in my body. I do not like stomach cramps. I hate acid reflux and heartburn. I hate feeling sick. I hate it when my joints hurt. I hate feeling bloated. So I limit what I eat. I do my best to be disciplined in what I put in my body, because it is a huge determiner in how I feel. I love to feel wide awake and fully alive. I love to feel like I could run through a wall. Food plays a huge role in how I feel. I have become passionate about this topic in the last 2 years. Partly because of my struggle with my eating, but also because of how good you really can feel. I know some people get their feelings hurt when they read stuff like this, because they are struggling too. But let’s do this together. We can be a team. We can suport each other, make progress together, and cheer each other on. I have some things that i am doing that are making a huge difference in my health. I hope I didn’t wait too long to make changes. I am passionate about health, not just physical health, but it is amazing how much your physical health affects other areas of your life.
We are whole organisms. We are body, spirit, emotions, and psyche/mind. We can’t pretend like one doesn’t affect the other. We can’t pretend like we can work on one and ignore the others. It is beneficial for us to realize that there must be health in all of us. That we must grow in all areas of our life.
Let’s grow and get healthy together. We deserve it. Our families deserve it.
