Do you remember where you came from?
I remember.
James Green remembers. He brought me this old pic of himself from not that many years ago. A tall strapping Marine Vet, he is an imposing figure in our church. This man can not fight. He is a lethal weapon who has been trained to kill people with his bare hands, among a variety of weapons and could get in very bad trouble.
Yet around New Life, Bro Green, as we call him, is known as a gentle man who loves the kids and always has peppermints for them.
Just a few years ago he was a cussing, drug abusing, smoking, drinking, bad man.
His wife got a cloth anointed with oil from our pastor, and put it under his pillow. Within a short period of time, he asked her what she wanted for mothers day. She told him she didn’t want anything but for him to come to church with her.
He came. Came the next week also, and God refilled him with the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and he has been coming every since.
God has done many miracles in this man’s life, and he isn’t ashamed to tell you that.
He teaches Bible studies. Him and his wife have stepped in and taken care of four children while their mother is in the hospital.
He is walking down a new path, a path of endless possibilities.
He is a new man, a new creature.
